1. Click on the Windows Logo/Start Menu in the bottom left corner of the screen.
2. Click on Network in the right column.
3. Click on Network and Sharing Center in the top toolbar.
4. Click on Set up a connection or network on the left side.
5. Click on Set up a dial-up connection and click on Next.
6. Type in your Local Access Number (see bottom of sheet for local number).
7. Type in your username. (This is only the first part of your e-mail address. For example, username@ruggedwest.com)
8. Type in your password.
9. Type in the connection name as RTC.
10. If you want other users of the computer to be able to use this connection to get on the internet, you need to check the appropriate box.
11. Click on Connect to dialup to the internet.
12. Click on Browse the Internet Now and then click on Close.

Setting up E-mail with Outlook Express
1. Click on the Windows Logo/Start Menu in the bottom left corner of the screen.
2. Click on E-mail – Windows Mail.
3. Open the Tools Menu and click on Accounts.
4. If you see Microsoft Communities in the Internet Accounts page, you may remove it by clicking on it to highlight it and then clicking on Remove at the right. Confirm the removal by clicking OK.
5. Click on Add. Choose e-mail account and click Next.
6. Type in your display name and click Next.
7. Type in your e-mail address and click Next.
8. Type in the mail server addresses. At the top should be POP3. In the middle box, enter “pop3.ruggedwest.com”. In the bottom box, enter “mail.ruggedwest.com”. Click on Next. (Remember to enter these in lower case, NOT UPPER CASE. Do NOT include the quotation marks.)
9. Click Next.
10. Type in the password for the e-mail account listed and click Remember Password. Click Next.
11. Click Finish.
12. When Windows Security asks to logon to your mail server, enter in your username and password again to confirm your credentials. Click OK.
13. Click Close.
