RTC Style Guide

When formatting text for your website pages, it is important to provide a consistent look and feel.  This style guide has been developed to help you with that task.

Paragraph / Plain Text formatting

By default, text that you edit for the site will appear in the “Paragraph” style in the editor.  This style is will attempt to use Myriad Pro font if it is available, and Verdana if not.  Font size is 13 pixel, black (#000000).

Heading 1

When you need to create a major headline, use the H1 tag.  This style again attempts to use Myriad Pro font if it is available, and Verdana if not.  The font is set to bold, blue (#162B81), 15 pixel, and uppercase.

Heading 2

The H2 style is ideal  for sub-headings.  Font: Myriad Pro, Verdana.  The font is set to bold, blue (#162B81), 15 pixel.

Heading 3

Use the H3 tag to draw full attention to text within a body of content; this style should be used very sparingly as it is quite bold.  It may be more ideally used within a table.  This heading is black (#000000), 14 pixel, regular case.  Font: Myriad Pro, Verdana.

Heading 6

For very small text, such as footnotes, supplemental text, “boilerplate” language and other “detail” type information, use the H6 style.
